Code of Conduct

Student Rules and Regulations:

The student must observe and strictly follow the disciplinary rules and regulations of the Institute.

  • Students must attend all sessions conducted during the day.
  • Every student must maintain at least 75% attendance in each subject and 100% overall participation in academic activities.
  • If a student is found irregular in attendance, disciplinary action will be taken.
  • The use of mobile phones inside the department is not permitted. Any violation of this rule may lead to confiscation of the device.
  • All students must report to their classes by 9:00 AM. Students arriving late will not be allowed to enter the class.
  • Students must come in complete uniform along with their ID card and proper shoes. Hoodies and sweatshirts are not allowed.
  • Students must wear the college T-shirt on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Uniform pants or blue/black casual pants are permitted, along with proper shoes and ID card. Torn jeans and six-pocket pants are not allowed.
  • Students who take leave must submit a leave letter to their respective class teachers on the next working day. Prior information about leave should be given.
  • Students who are on medical leave must submit valid medical documents to their respective class teacher on the next working day.
  • Any damage to department property due to negligence will result in disciplinary action.
  • Students must use waste bins to dispose of waste materials in classrooms and help to keep the college campus clean and tidy.
  • Writing on the benches and walls is not allowed.
  • Any misbehaviour, threats or violence towards other students will be treated as serious misconduct.
  • Students who are absent from internal examinations will not be given a re-test. Students who do not attend the preparatory examinations will not be allowed to appear for further examinations in the respective subjects.
  • Students must not engage in anti-institutional or antisocial activities. If found, disciplinary action will be taken.
  • While in class, students should avoid unnecessary conversation, as it may disturb their focus and attention and cause inconvenience to the teacher.
  • Attendance and Sessional Requirements

  • Students will have two regular tests (internals 1 and internals 2) and one preparatory as per the calendar of events.
  • Students who take part in any of the sports competitions representing the college in other colleges should have a prior permission from the Coordinator.
  • Every semester two parent teachers meetings are arranged on Saturdays to enable parents to attend these meetings. Parents must utilize this opportunity to sort out the academic issues with the respective teachers and help the student regain his confidence levels.
  • If a student is found guilty of any malpractice in the internal test, results in all the subjects of that internals will be treated as null or void.
